Got a Gripping Genre Film? Submit Your £5M Idea to DB Films!
Budget Requirements: Up to £5M.
Desired Genres: We are seeking genre films - particularly horror and thrillers. Projects should respect genre conventions while offering innovative twists that set new trends. Things to consider:
Relevance - We are not making b-movies. We are looking for projects that use a commercial genre prism to examine our society’s greatest anxieties. We ask writers to consider: What scares us now?
Hook - Must have a strong, hooky concept which can be explained in one sentence and be teased effectively in a poster
Pace - Fun, pacey, exciting. The film must immediately capture our attention
British - Although we are not looking to make culture pieces per se, we would like British culture and characters to play a role in each DB film
Stage of Project: We are looking for projects at various stages, from solid ideas with a clear vision to fully developed scripts. Teams with attached partners are welcomed, though not required.
